How Big Is a 510 Cartridge Once You Measure It?
The thread is standard but the tank around it isn’t and that’s the whole reason we measure. The two definitions above agree on ten threads and disagree on what the 5 refers to. Neither one says a word about the glass or the mouthpiece.

Does a Vape Cartridge Need Child Resistant Packaging?
In a licensed cannabis market it does, and California spells out how the rule lands on a cartridge. The state treats a cartridge as a product that needs single use child resistant packaging. That means the package only has to resist a child until it’s first opened.
Two routes satisfy that rule in California and both are worth knowing. The first is packaging certified under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act at 16 CFR 1700.15 and tested under 16 CFR 1700.20 with 50 children and 100 adults. The second is heat sealed plastic at least 4 mils thick with no easy open tab or dimple or corner. A printed carton on its own is neither of those things. We build it around a certified tube or a sealed blister and let that component carry the claim.
How Does a Filled Cartridge Get to the Customer?
Not through the mail in most cases, and that changes how the shipper carton is built. The Postal Service barred electronic nicotine delivery systems from the mail on October 21, 2021. Its definition covers any device that aerosolizes nicotine or flavor or any other substance. A THC or CBD cartridge is inside that wording even with no nicotine in it.
A business to business exception covers licensed parties who use age verified delivery and that route rides a corrugated outer. We quote the retail carton and the shipper together with a count that matches the case size your distributor wants.
