About The Customized Boxes
We are a direct packaging manufacturer, which means the box you order is printed on our own presses rather than bought in and marked up. That is the reason the numbers on this site stay the same whether you order 100 boxes or 10,000, and it is why there is no setup charge anywhere in our pricing.
Who We Are
The Customized Boxes is a custom packaging manufacturer based in Neptune, New Jersey, and more than 3,000 brands across food, cosmetics, retail and ecommerce have run their packaging through us. We print on our own equipment with our own in-house design team, so there are no middlemen between your artwork and the press, and no markup added by anyone we have subcontracted the work to.
What that structure changes for you is mostly about cost and about honesty. A broker has to recover a die and a set of plates from you before the job is worth doing, which is why so many packaging quotes arrive with a setup line on them. We carry the die and the plates inside the unit price instead, on your first order and on every reorder after it, so a repeat run of the same box costs exactly what any other run at that quantity would cost.

What We Make
Our work is folding cartons and corrugated packaging, printed to your artwork on your own dieline. Different products pull the specification in different directions, so the range covers the structures those products actually need rather than a single box offered in three sizes.
- Mailer boxes and shipping boxes for ecommerce, where the box has to survive a courier network and still open well at the other end.
- Folding cartons, pillow boxes for retail shelves, where the print and the fit are what a shopper judges first.
- Rigid boxes and PR boxes for premium and unboxing work, including two-piece and sleeve constructions.
- Cosmetic boxes, soap boxes, candle boxes and display boxes for categories with their own sizing and merchandising rules.
- Kraft boxes and mylar bags where the material itself is part of the brand.
Finishing runs to matte and gloss lamination, soft touch, spot UV, aqueous coating, embossing, debossing and foil stamping. Most boxes need one or two of these rather than all of them, and our box styles page shows what each structure does before you commit to one.
The Terms We Publish
Every figure below is written the same way on every page of this site, and it is the same figure our team will quote you on the phone. Publishing them is deliberate, because a minimum or a lead time you only discover after sending an enquiry has cost you a week for nothing.

Design Support Is Free, at Both Levels
Our design team sits in house rather than being outsourced, so there is no cost for us to pass on to you. Neither level of help appears on your invoice.
You already have a file
Small changes, resizing, tidying and laying your artwork out correctly on our dieline. Every file that comes in is checked before it goes anywhere near a press, and we tell you what needs changing rather than printing something we know will disappoint you.
You have nothing yet
A full design built from scratch, at no charge, for anyone placing an order with us. Send a rough sketch, a photo of the product, or simply a description of the look you are after, and our designers will work from that.
If you would rather build the structure yourself first, our free dieline generator makes one at your own dimensions in seconds, with no account needed and no watermark. The artwork guidelines cover bleed, resolution and color before you start.
What We Will Tell You, Including the Awkward Parts
Most packaging suppliers say yes to everything and sort the problems out later, usually at your expense. We would rather have the difficult part of the conversation while the job is still on paper and it is cheap to change.
- Four colors do cost more than one on an offset run, because each extra color adds a plate and another pass through the press. We will say so rather than let you discover it in the quote.
- If your on-shelf date does not fit the production time, you will hear that at quote stage rather than at the end. There are usually options while the job is still on paper and almost none once it is on the press.
- If your artwork will not print the way you are expecting it to, we tell you what needs changing and we make the change for you at no charge.
- If a box style is wrong for your product, we will say which one is right instead, even where it is the cheaper of the two.

Your product size, your quantity, and artwork if you have it. If you do not, our designers will build it, and if you would rather hold the board before deciding anything, ask for a sample and we will send one out.
