Which Insert Holds A Candle Jar Still?
A cardboard partition holds a jar on a shelf and a corrugated platform holds it in the mail. Foam holds it when the glass is heavy or the set is a gift. The table gives the thickness we cut and the candle each one suits.

Foam costs more per box than the carton around it, so it belongs where the glass or the price of the candle justifies it.
How Do You Size A Candle Box Insert?
The cavity is the jar diameter plus 2 mm, measured at the widest point and not the base. That gap lets the jar drop in by hand and stops it rattling once the lid is on, and a flared jar takes the shoulder measurement.
Height matters as much as the cavity. A platform insert sits the jar 15 to 20 mm above the base of the box, so a drop lands on board and not on glass. A partition insert runs the full height of the jar and holds it on four sides. Can An Insert Be Added To A Stock Carton?
Yes, inserts are made on their own for brands that already hold stock cartons, and the minimum is the same 100 per size. Measure the inside of the carton rather than the outside, because the board takes 1 mm off each wall. A kraft candle box with insert reads as one product on the shelf when the insert is cut from the same kraft board as the carton.
Do Inserts Work In Gift Sets And Multipacks?
A set of two, three or four jars uses one insert with that many cavities, and the cavity spacing is what stops jars knocking together. We hold 8 mm of board between cavities on cardboard and 10 mm on foam. Candle gift boxes with inserts use a wrapped rigid base, and tealight multipacks use a divider grid with 12 or 24 cells.
