How Big Should a Soap Wrapper Sheet Be?
A soap wrapper sheet is the bar length plus two times the bar height plus 25 mm for the folded ends. The other side of the sheet is two times the sum of the width and height plus 20 mm for the seam.
For a 4 oz bar of 89 x 64 x 25 mm the length is 89 plus 50 plus 25 mm, or 164 mm. The width is 2 x (64 plus 25) plus 20 mm, so the bar takes a sheet of 164 x 198 mm.
Lay the bar face down in the middle and bring the long sides up so they overlap by 20 mm on the base. Fold each end in like a gift with the short flaps first and the long flap last. A folded wrapper still needs something to hold the base shut, and that is the next choice.
How Do You Seal Soap Wrappers Without Tape?
You seal soap wrappers without tape by placing a printed sticker across the seam on the base. Our soap bar labels include a round 1.5 in seam sticker that covers the overlap and carries the scent name or batch code.
Soap band labels in kraft or white card also hold the wrapper shut and add a second print surface around the middle. Next comes the question of whether a wrapper suits your bar better than a box.

A soap wrapper is better than a box when you sell cured bars at markets or online and cost and airflow matter more than shelf protection. A flat sheet needs no glue line or box die, so a paper wrapper for soap costs less than a carton.
