What Size Is Custom Chocolate Bar Packaging?
Custom chocolate bar packaging is sized to the wrapped bar plus 2 mm in length and width, so the bar slides in without rattling.

A sleeve suits a bar already sealed in foil or a flow wrap, while a tuck end carton suits a bar sold unwrapped in a glassine sheet. Chocolate bar boxes for a multipack hold three or six bars side by side on the same rule. Truffles need a different build, because each piece has to sit apart.

Each chocolate box insert has cavities 2 mm wider than the truffle with 4 mm walls between them. The box stands at the truffle height plus at least 10 mm so the lid never touches the top. With the layout set the next question is what touches the chocolate.
Is Chocolate Packaging Safe for Direct Food Contact?
Yes, our chocolate packaging boxes run on food grade SBS that meets FDA food contact rules for fatty foods under 21 CFR 176.170. Cocoa butter is a fat, so a water based barrier coating on the inside face holds it back from the board.
The board does not insulate, so store packed boxes in a dry room between 60 and 68°F. In warm weather ship each order in an insulated mailer with cold packs. With the chocolate protected you can choose how the box looks as a gift.
Which Gift Boxes Suit Confectionery Packaging?
A two piece rigid box or a magnetic hinged box suits confectionery packaging for gift sets, because 1.5 to 2 mm grayboard holds its shape.
